TEMPLATES FOR A COHESIVE GLOBAL BRAND
UN Women publishes hundreds of publications annually, from simple two-page briefs to complex research reports. They are created in multiple languages in dozens of offices worldwide—by staff and professional designers—for print, web and electronic distribution. To ensure a cohesive global identity, UN Women engaged us to create a series of five template types. Content included tables and graphs, bibliographies, detailed footnotes and a color code corresponding to eight focus areas. We created a series of templates with clear information architecture and a guideline manual to facilitate use. The result is a system that’s been in use for over five years, facilitating the creation of a distinctive and unified library of UN Women publications.
