MAKING THE CASE FOR INDEPENDENT JOURNALISM

Boston Review

A flourishing democracy depends on engaged public discussion of ideas that matter. Boston Review, a political and literary
magazine, provides that discussion on a broad range of timely topics. As newsrooms shrink and paywalls are on the rise, philanthropic support of accessible, in-depth journalism is more important now than ever.
Boston Review came to us to develop the tools they need to make their case for robust public support. We created the framework for their argument, giving shape to their case for what democracy requires and demonstrating how Boston Review delivers on the need. Narrative headlines run throughout the piece, and are supported by bold collages of story titles, contributor names, and reviewer accolades to substantiate BR’s intellectual range and achievements.
