REVEALING OPPORTUNITIES IN EAST AFRICA

Trade Hub East Africa conducted a study to understand how much value East Africa retains—and how much it could gain—in the regional cotton value chain. To bring the study’s findings to life, we illustrated the value chain by following the production of a container of blue jeans from farm to factory to container ship. We developed a series of three illustrated infographics to showcase the data, showing that an increased cotton value chain would have a profound positive impact on incomes, revenues and jobs in East Africa. The infographics were used in high-level global presentations, research reports, social media and Trade Hub’s website.
